Cube's 2018 Stereo Hybrid 160 Race is a true Enduro monster, featuring 160mm of suspension travel and the acclaimed Bosch Performance CX motor, this bike will take you further than ever before, at blistering speed. Constructed from Cube's renowned HPA Ultralight, this bike is not only on the lighter side of eMTB's, but strong too. Assisted by the Bosch Performance CX motor which is best regarded in the mountain bike world and now for 2018 includes the new eMTB mode as standard. eMTB mode replaces the previous Sport mode and switches between the Tour and Turbo riding modes. With a maximum torque of up to 75Nm, the motor dynamically supports the riders own pedal power by between 120% and 300%. The power curve is progressive and automatically adapts to the individuals riding style, giving this bike a sporty start up behaviour, whilst ensuring maximum traction and control. The high-capacity 500Wh battery has been blended in with the bike with Cube's use of clever styling. The eDrive system is all controlled via the bar-mounted Purion display which gives clear indication of your speed, remaining range and riding mode. The Purion is small in size which makes it less vulnerable to damage and hard knocks that may occur with all-mountain riding. 160mm of travel comes courtesy of a RockShox Yari RC at the front with a 35mm chassis and fast black upper tubes which really looks the part fitted to the Stereo Hybrid. The Yari features magnesium lowers for the extra strength and stability required on an eBike. At the rear we find a Fox Float DPS EVOL shock which again features a fast black coating and has 3 modes which can be changed on-the-fly to get the optimum performance on your chosen terrain. A combination of SLX and XT components on the drivetrain give the Hybrid Race a pocket-friendly price, whilst still delivering on the trail. The bike features an 11-46T SLX cassette and an 11-Speed XT rear derailleur which provides all the range required on an eBike with the smooth and precise shifting you have come to expect from a Shimano XT component. A tubeless ready Answer Plus Atac wheelset mounted with a combination of Schwalbe's Nobby Nic and Magic Mary provide an agile platform for the bike, keeping it firmly planted to the trail. The Super Gravity casing makes these tyres less prone to punctures. Magura MT Trail Custom hydraulic brakes feature a four piston caliper and 203mm disc up front and a two-piston caliper with 180mm disc at the rear provide ample stopping power, fit for an eBike capable of the speeds the Stereo Hybrid can reach. The Stereo Hybrid Race is finished off with a Cube Dropper Post which allows smooth changes to saddle height, giving the rider the ability to drop the saddle on-the-fly to get as low as possible on descents and quickly raise it back up when approaching an incline.
